Jing Yi 静怡
In tribute to Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month, I share with you a tender song I composed called Jing Yi. I composed Jing Yi 静怡 as a traditional Chinese acoustic piece. Jing Yi 静怡 is a Chinese name where Jing 静 means "quiet, still, gentle" and Yi 怡 means joy and harmony. The song title then refers to music that is quiet, still, and gentle yet embodies the essence of joy and happiness. The instrumentation is comprised of Guzheng, Erhu, Dizi, Pipa, Yangquin, Flowerpot drum, and gong. May this song bring you peaceful joy and happiness.
